NEET & JEE EXAMS: WHAT SHOULD WE DO AS A STUDENT

Both NEET and JEE are important competitive exams of india. Neet determines students fate for medical field and Jee for engineering field. From the long time both exams has been taken on yearly basis for taking admission in top government colleges in india. Lakhs of student prepare and wait for 1 year to appear in these exams to make their future brighter.

But things have become complicated this year due to ongoing pandemic and condition of some states due to flood landslides. Both the exams were scheduled to be conducted in the month of may and june but it was postponed due to corona pandemic in country.

Finally government decided to conduct these exams in September but is it a right time to conduct these exams? Will government ensures completely that no single student will  be affected by these situations? Is students ready to give such exams after a long lockdown? Will government ensures safety and security of each and every student.

Nearly over 26 lakhs of student will give Neet and Jee exams, is india ready to hold such large events? India records more than 70k covid cases everyday, is it safe for students to travel during pandemic and gather on a large scale for exam? Transport services are not working properly in country right now how will students travel to give exam?

Social distancing is a myth! No matter how much caution government take at the exam center situation will be out of control. Recently some colleges conducted exams taking every precaution but on the day of exam no one follow there was a mess. A large crowd was gathered there, life of many people were at risk. If the same situation continue at centre of Neet and Jee, who will be responsible for risking lifes of so many students.

There are many such questions and fear raising in students. What should they do? For many students this is a loss of an academic year. Many students want to give exam as they don't want to waste their hard efforts. Only concern is health of student and their family members. It will be best for both students and country that exams will be held when proper vaccine and medicine is available to treat corona. Life of student is more precious than exams.

SO FINALLY WHAT SHOULD BE DONE?

First of all India has become 3rd Worst Country in World in  terms of COVID-19 cases. Everyday more than 60,000 Cases are reported all over India. Just think about the possibility of interaction of students and result of this. One good

is of United States, where the school had been reopened two weeks back and 97,000 students tested positive for COVID-19. Also in Kerala, where KEAM exam was Conducted. Few students Got tested positive for Corona. Now people gonna argue that it doesn't affect youth. But you can't deny the fact that youth become the carrier of this virus as asymptomatic patient. In Indian household, we live in joint families or with our parents. If become infected and come in Close proximity with our parents, there are 90 % chance that our parent will test positive for COVID-19. So, i want to end this blog by urging to all the students that do not take risk if it isn't worth it. Instead use this precious time and prepare for next year. STAY SAFE !!!
